   Dialog-based user interface - the shortest way to translate ideas for WinAPI programmers, especially a beginners. Study of Rapid Application Development system, such as the Delphi IDE and others, requires some considerable amount of time, takes away from the low-level features programming in the Microsoft Windows operating systems. Then, as sketched in Visual Studio's resource editor, several patterns of dialog boxes and buttons - a matter of minutes. The examples in his book "Inside Microsoft Windows: Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 2000" by Mark Russinovich might and main uses a dialog box, as the main application window. The file "common.h" of these examples is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, so necessary in the implementation plans of the programmer.
   Here in the archive folder of Visual Studio 2005 project, GUI utility to scan, and so far only to scan the network. Below is a screenshot of the utility in an environment of Windows 7 and Windows 8 "developer preview", and as can be seen, the presence of the GUI is not affected by network scanning speed - in Windows 8 and Windows Vista/2008 the scan time above all reasonable limits.
